Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Antigua
Arrive in Antigua. Sightseeing. Group dinner. Orientation, intention setting.
Day 2 - Antigua
Antigua city tour with Elizabeth Bell. Other optional activities.
Day 3 through 7 - San Marcos la Laguna, Lake Atitlan
Travel to San Marcos La Laguna on Day 3 (a bit more than three hours by van). In San Marcos, there will be daily yoga classes and meditations. In addition, there will be facilitated discussions of the topics being presented. The specific day for each course may vary based upon instructor availability so it is difficult to fix a daily itinerary for San Marcos, however, the intent is to offer the courses/classes listed below.
- Breathwork
- Energy work/chakra balancing
- Chocolate ceremony with the "chocolate shaman"
- Understanding of mayan ceremonial practices along with a mayan ceremony
- Introduction to astral travel
- Other sessions possible based upon group interest
- One or two afternoons will be kept free for private sessions/treatments (massage or various healing therapies)
The leaders/instructors for each of these offerings listed above have been confirmed, however, schedules can change … so, if one of the offerings above is not available, we will find another option based upon group input. The beauty of San Marcos is there are plenty of great options to choose from!
In addition to the spiritual activities noted above, we will also visit the nearby town of San Juan la Laguna. San Juan is a fascinating town filled with art galleries, various micro-projects and women's weaving collectives. In San Juan, we will visit a women's co-op textile shop and have a meal at one of the lake's top rated restaurants, El Artesano Wine and Cheese Restaurant.

If you are an adventurous type, a short walk will take you to a nearby location where you can cliff jump into the lake. When I first visited San Marcos there was only cliff jumps, now there is a also a platform... so the safety factor has risen dramatically. And yes… that is me jumping!
Day 8 - Antigua
Return to Antigua. Visit to the artisan market. Closing dinner.
